Slovak Olympian Denisa Hurban Barankova has passed away at the age of 24 in tragic circumstances.
Hurban Barankova represented Slovakia at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris, and won the recurve women’s event at the 2025 World Games in Chengdu. A regular contender on the international circuit, she was registered to compete at the upcoming Hyundai Archery World Cup stage in Madrid.
World Archery joins the Slovak archery community in remembering Denisa, and offering condolences to her husband, Vladimir Hurban Jr., her family, friends, and teammates.
