History beckons Kristof Milak with a fourth straight 100 fly title on the line on the fourth night of finals at the European Championships in Paris.
The Olympic champion won titles in 2021, 2022 and 2024 although the barriers to a four-peat include world champion Maxime Grousset and world silver medallist Noè Ponti, who missed the 50 fly podium following a goggles mishap. Should Milak prevail, he’d become the first man to win four titles in this event, moving one clear of Swede Lars Frolander.
Sara Curtis set a 26.63 WR in the 50 back semis although it’s the gold medal that is up for grabs tonight. Marrit Steenbergen will go in the one-length event before dusting herself down and returning for the 200 free final.
Filip Nowacki can maintain the fine British breaststroke tradition over 200m while the men’s 4×100 free promises to be a real ding-dong battle.
