A new season always brings changes.
Some notable ones with Georgia football were gleaned with the release of the program’s 2026 media guide ahead of SEC Media Days starting on Monday in Tampa, Fla.
David Cooper, who served as director of recruiting relations, is no longer listed on the support staff. Neither is Jay Chapman, who was director of football management.

Cooper was in his position since June of 2021 after being hired from Louisville. Chapman was hired to Georgia’s staff in 2016 in Kirby Smart’s first season where he started as a football operations assistant. He moved into the football management role in 2019.
Georgia also updated its roster for the first time since the spring. A Georgia starting player on offense changed jersey numbers and four newcomers’ jersey numbers are now listed.
Offensive guard Dontrell Glover switched to No. 58 from No. 63. The sophomore from Langston Hughes High started 12 games last season as a freshman.
As for freshmen who have joined the program since the spring, cornerback Justice Fitzpatrick from Boca Raton, Fla., is No. 6, running back Nick Peal from Roswell is wearing No. 30, wide receiver Tre Shields from Flowery Branch is No. 86 and long snapper Colton Dermer from Glendale, Ariz., is No. 50.

Georgia shook up its football radio broadcast this spring by announcing it was moving Jeff Dantzler in as play-by-play voice and Jon Stinchcomb as analyst to replace Scott Howard and Josh Brock.
David Johnston, who has long worked with Dantzler on Georgia baseball’s radio call, is joining Kevin Butler on the football radio broadcast on the Dawg Talk pregame show and the postgame call-in show. Dantzler had served in that role on the Georgia Bulldogs Radio Network.
In another support staff note, former Clemson offensive coordinator Brandon Streeter’s title is now quarterbacks coach. He was previously listed as senior offensive analyst. Offensive coordinator is also still listed as coaching quarterbacks.
