Indiana Hoosiers EDGE Triston Abram has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. On Wednesday afternoon, Abram went to social media to announce his decision to transfer.
“Thank you God for giving me the talent to play football, and allowing me to play this sport at this level,” Triston Abram wrote in a statement. “While I had many choices with where I would play football at the collegiate level, Indiana was my final choice, and that’s a decision that I’ll never regret. Indiana allowed me to experience a wonderful college town. It was in Indiana that I met so many supporters and fans. Those of which I will never forget. Indiana also allowed me to become a National Champion, which is something I worked hard for and will always be proud of.”

Abram also said, “This season of life has taught me that at times your best simply won’t be good enough, and sometimes your best is too much for certain spaces. I’m thankful for the lessons that have strengthened me for the journey ahead. With that being said, I am announcing my entrance into the transfer portal with four years of eligibility remaining.”
Triston Abram was a top recruit out of St. Louis
Abram joined Indiana last year after playing high school football at Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He did not play in any games during his freshman season.

As a recruit, Abram was a three-star recruit and ranked No. 667 in the On3|Rivals Industry Rankings Class of 2025. He was also ranked the No. 64 EDGE and No. 8 in the state of Missouri.
In November 2024, Abram spoke to On3’s Steve Wiltfong about what he likes about Indiana. “At the rate Indiana is moving, they are on an upward trend for something great their first year,” Abram said of head coach Curt Cignetti and the coaching staff. “They continue to stay humble as well, and most teams wouldn’t after winning so many games. They have the right leadership and coaches keeping them on that path.”
