Sports analyst Jason Whitlock has made another strong statement against Caitlin Clark by commenting on the emotional immaturity of the Indiana Fever star.
Whitlock is not a stranger to making strong comments about top WNBA stars, with Clark being a frequent target of his criticism.

But while discussing the potential 2026 WNBA MVP, Whitlock made his stance clear with a backhanded comment against Clark.

After a fan said Whitlock is obsessed with hating on Clark because he believes she’s not the best player on the team, the 59-year-old analyst explained his reasoning while still saying Clark might win MVP.
“I hope Caitlin earns MVP and isn’t handed it for business purposes.”
“She’s improved with shot selection this year. But she’s been an emotional train wreck and a whiner. She walked off the court in the middle of a game and disappeared for 9 days… You can objectively root for Caitlin without destroying everyone. And you can criticize her immaturity and constant whining. It’s not betrayal. It’s a concern that she’s going to blow this amazing opportunity.”

Whitlock also discussed how pro-Clark content creators are spreading narratives around her that are upsetting fans while dismissing Clark’s fanbase by equating them to a cult.

Clark is averaging 21.6 points, 8.0 assists, and 4.1 rebounds this season for the Fever, who have the fourth-best record in the WNBA with 19-10.
The Fever are 4-0 in games that Clark has missed, which is why Whitlock’s previous comments tried to paint Clark’s teammates, like Kelsey Mitchell, as the best player on the Fever.
Caitlin Clark’s MVP case isn’t secure
Whitlock isn’t being a hater by pointing out that Clark isn’t the best player in the WNBA and shouldn’t win MVP just because of her popularity.

Four-time WNBA MVP A’ja Wilson is still dominating, averaging 26.8 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.2 assists for the Las Vegas Aces.
Paige Bueckers has helped the Dallas Wings become a Playoff team again while averaging 20.8 points, 6.0 assists, and 4.2 rebounds.
Minnesota Lynx‘s rookie sensation Olivia Miles might steal the award for leading the franchise to the best record in the WNBA while averaging 19.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 5.8 assists.
Clark is keeping pace with these players, but it’s hard to objectively say she’s the favorite for the award when there are more productive players with better records ahead of her.
