Michigan State football has picked up their first commit of the official visit season.
Matthew Brady of Bloomington, Ill. announced his commitment to the Spartans on Wednesday morning. Brady commits to Michigan State following his recent official visit with the Spartans this past weekend.

Brady is listed as a three-star linebacker prospect, with a recruiting rating of 85 in 247Sports’ system. He ranks as the No. 122 linebacker in 247Sports’ composite system.
Brady has seen a recent uptick in interest on the recruiting trail, with a number of power four schools joining the mix in the last month. Overall, Michigan State beat out the likes of Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Northwestern, Illinois, Nebraska, North Dakota State, Army and few other group of six schools for his commitment.
Brady is the first of what should be a flurry of commitments over the next few weeks now that official visits season has begun. Michigan State is up to eight commitments in the 2027 class with the addition of Brady.
