Notre Dame freshmen continue to flash, as WR scores over senior

by

At this rate, we are going to look back at Notre Dame football‘s 2026 recruiting class as one of the best that has ever been brought in.

It seems like every fall camp practice, one of them is making a big play and on Monday it was freshman wide receiver Bubba Frazier. For the most part, many of these highlights have been against young players, but the Georgia native did it against senior nickel cornerback Christian Gray, who is viewed as one of the best at his position nationally. This is exactly what the coaching staff envisioned when recruiting him, a receiver that can take a short pass and make it into a big play.

Frazier was a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports composite coming out of high school, and has seen Devin Fitzgerald, Ian Premer, Teddy Jarrard and Ja’Kobe Clapper getting some love on social media and the coaches. With the new rule for players having five years to play five seasons, there is a distinct possibility that we won’t see nearly as many taking redshirt years.

With some uncertainty at wide receiver for Notre Dame, there are reps for Frazier if he continues to prove that he can play at this level. More plays like Monday’s will go a long way for him to see the field this fall.
