Purdue Scores 2027 Verbal From Juniors West Finalist Lily Wiles
NEW COMMIT: Purdue University has scored a verbal commitment for Fall 2027 from Lily Wiles out of The Woodlands, Texas. Wiles is a Junior National qualifier who excels in freestyle, butterfly and IM.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m so excited to announce my verbal commitment to Purdue University! I’d like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for always supporting me and making this a possibility. I would also like to thank Coach John and Caitlin for giving me this incredible opportunity. Can’t wait to be a Boilermaker!”
Wiles does her club swimming with The Woodlands Swim Team and placed 14th in the 200 fly at Juniors West in December in a new best time of 1:59.25 during prelims. The week prior, she won the 500 free and 1000 free at Gulf Southern Senior Championships. She most recently notched runner-up finishes in the 50 free, 200 back and 500 free at Gulf 13&O Championships.
Her best times include:
- 100 fly – 55.20
- 200 fly – 1:59.25
- 100 free – 52.13
- 200 free – 1:50.23
- 500 free – 4:53.31
- 1000 free – 10:03.17
- 200 IM – 2:06.29
- 400 IM – 4:24.34
Currently a junior at The Woodlands High School, Wiles placed 10th in the 200 free and 13th in the 100 fly at the 2026 UIL 6A State Championships, also helping her 4×50 free relay to second place and her 4×100 free relay to fourth place. She finished sixth in the 200 free and seventh in the 100 fly at the state meet during her sophomore season.
