How cool is this? The NASCARCup Series will visit Naval Base Coronado later this month, with the penultimate race set for Sunday, June 21. In doing so, NASCAR and Amazon Prime have made sure to cut an eye-catching promo via NASCAR vs. Navy: The San Diego Mini Movie.
Per NASCAR’s trailer announcement posted on social media, the mini movie will debut on Prime Video on Friday, June 5. It will star six NASCAR Cup Series drivers, with Ryan Blaney being the prominently showcased actor among them. The six drivers:

Amazon Prime is in the midst of a 5-race schedule showcasing the NASCAR Cup Series. The Anduril 250 at Naval Base Coronado will be the final race broadcast on Prime. With all their filmmaking tools, Prime has gathered a bunch of NASCAR drivers, as listed above, to create a short film at Naval Base Coronado.
“Your best guys versus mine, winners take the runway?” Blaney asks a Navy officer in the movie trailer. It appears that the movie will feature a makeshift battle between NASCAR drivers and Navy personnel for control of the runway at Naval Base Coronado, in which NASCAR, of course, will actually be taking over for the race itself.

The trailer shows Blaney and Gragson driving around the runway while security gives chase. Ultimately, the movie will stage a battle between NASCAR and the Navy, with the race “in question.”
Blaney exclaims, “See you in my rearview,” at the end of the trailer, leaving the fictional battle on a cliffhanger. The final shot teases a cinematic showdown between stock cars and Navy aircraft.
The mini movie seems like a Top Gun-esque movie. Prime of course has all the tools to pull off such an awesome production. Notably, they have produced the following highly acclaimed visuals:
