National expectations aren’t incredibly high for the Tigers coming in as Missouri’s over/under win total is set at 6.5 per FanDuel Sportsbook.

Mizzou has a talented roster to work with led by what could be the best running back duo in the country in Ahmad Hardy and Jamal Roberts. There are also a lot of question marks on this roster. Can Austin Simmons be “the” guy at the quarterback position to get Missouri over the hump? And how will a new-look defense perform under Corey Batoon?

Missouri also has a gauntlet ahead of them with Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Texas, Georgia, and Oklahoma highlighting a difficult conference schedule. Though, that’s life in the SEC.

After back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2023-2024, Mizzou took a small step back last year with an 8-5 record — which sets up to be a crucial year heading into Eli Drinkwitz’s seventh season. Is it a College Football Playoff or bust type year?

In our latest SBN Reacts survey, we ask you this: How many wins does Mizzou Football need in order for this season to be a success?
