Updated 2027 Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings

The Rivals Industry Team Recruiting Rankings were changing by the hour throughout most of the summer. From May through July, there were waves of blue-chip prospects making commitments just about every day.

Since the calendar has turned to August, though, things have slowed. That’s because there aren’t many big decisions left to be made in the 2027 cycle. All but three of the top 400 prospects in the Rivals Industry Ranking are already committed.

So, ranking updates, flips, decommitments and reclassifications will now play the biggest roles in deciding where teams land in the final team rankings. The upcoming season and coaching carousel will certainly shake some things up heading into the December signing period, but for now, here’s an up-to-date look at the top 25 recruiting classes in the nation:

The Rivals Industry Ranking is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all three primary recruiting media services. The Rivals Industry Ranking is the industry’s most advanced, complete, and unbiased measurement. It equally weights the primary recruiting media services as follows: Rivals (33%), 247Sports (33%), and ESPN (33%).

There’s been a slight change to the Aggies’ No. 1 haul as three-star cornerback Loia Valade opted to reclassify into the 2026 cycle and head to College Station early. That doesn’t alter A&M’s stacked haul that still features a whopping five five-stars and an additional six top-100 commits. Matthews is the No. 1 OT, Kamarui Dorsey is the No. 1 safety and Kaden Henderson is the No. 1 LB in the nation. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Head coach Mike Elko and his staff will be tough to dethrone from the top spot in the team rankings.

No team has more commitments featured in the new Rivals300 than Notre Dame, which totes 19 — just nine less than the entire Big 12. The Irish have eight industry top-100 prospects in the mix, headlined by the five-star trio of Olubobola, EDGE Abraham Sesay and IOL Albert Simien. Notre Dame is on pace to sign back-to-back No. 2 recruiting classes, continuing an incredible run for Marcus Freeman and his crew in South Bend.

3. Miami — 93.061

Top Commit: CB Donte Wright, No. 9 NATL. (No. 1 CB)

The Hurricanes were on the right end of the latest piece of five-star news as CB A’mir Sears reclassified up from the 2028 cycle and quickly set his commitment date. He pledged to the Hurricanes on July 31, giving Mario Cristobal a fourth five-star and adding to an elite defensive back haul that also features Wright and top-100 safety Ai’King Hall. Wright flipped from Georgia, Hall flipped from Oregon and five-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant flipped from LSU. Those are statement wins for the ACC program.

4. Oregon — 92.739

The latest four-star to come off the board was LB Brayton Feister and he locked in a pledge to Oregon on Aug. 14. Feister is the nation’s No. 10 LB. To no surprise, Dan Lanning has gone across the country to land blue-chippers this cycle. Guerrant and four-star WR Xavier Sabb are both top-10 receivers. Will Mencl remains Rivals’ No. 1 QB, while industry No. 7 CB Hayden Stepp headlines a top-notch DB haul. There’s eight top-100 commits set to head to Eugene next year.

After a rather quiet spring, Ohio State closed out official visit season strong by landing a pair of industry top-50 recruits in five-star DL Marcus Fakatou and four-star IOL Caden Moss. Four-star DL Karlos May is the newest blue-chip pledge. The Buckeyes’ lone five-star in the Rivals300 is Jacobs, but four-star IOL Kellen Wymer is on the cusp. Four-star EDGE Wyatt Smith is another future Buckeye on the rise. While not currently in contention for the No. 1 class, it’s another rock-solid group for Ryan Day.

6. Texas — 92.035

Top Commit: WR Easton Royal, No. 5 NATL. (No. 1 WR)

On Aug. 1, Texas landed four-star Landen Williams-Callis, the No. 3 RB in the nation. He was the final top-100 prospect to come off the board and he vaulted Texas up two spots to No. 6 in the team rankings. Steve Sarkisian and Co. still hold a pledge from Royal, though LSU has continued to press for a flip. Five-star IOL Ismael Camara brought fireworks with a Fourth of July commitment. Four-star DL Kasi Currie is the No. 6 recruit in California and he’s one of seven blue-chip commits on the defensive side of the ball for the SEC program.

Three Oklahoma commits are featured in the Rivals300, including CB Gabriel Osborne Jr., who’s now an industry five-star. Rivals five-star OT Cooper Hackett, elite four-star OT Kaeden Penny and Osborne are all among the top recruits to come out of the Sooner State in a while and all three plan to head to Norman. OU went to the Bluegrass State and landed Rivals five-star TE Seneca Driver back in March and he remains one of the nation’s best, too. Elite four-star LB Cooper Witten, the son of Jason, is the other top-50 recruit in the class.

8. Florida — 91.716

Jon Sumrall’s program garnered some serious momentum on the trail this spring and built a bulk of its class before official visit season. Florida has continued to add a piece here and there and has the Gator faithful excited about the future ahead of this season. Hiller is now the No. 2 recruit in the nation after Texas Five-Star Plus+ CB John Meredith’s reclassification. Four-star WR Elias Pearl is the other top-100 recruit in the mix. There’s 17 blue-chip commits in the UF class — which will look to remain inside the top 10 down the stretch.

According to Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong, a final decision is nearing for Brewster as he decides between sticking with Texas Tech or flipping to LSU. The Red Raiders have held his pledge since October and are working to shut things down this fall. The No. 1 prospect sits atop the TTU class alongside five-star EDGE Anthony Sweeney. There’s an additional five top-100 recruits headed to Lubbock, including No. 3 LB Jhadyn Nelson, No. 2 ATH Gideon Gash and No. 6 QB Kavian Bryant.

10. LSU — 90.914

It’s already been an eventful first cycle in Baton Rouge for Lane Kiffin and the new LSU staff, but the Tigers are now back in the top 10 and are in the mix for multiple five-stars committed elsewhere. Hudson continues to lead the charge and is flanked by a trio of other industry top-100 prospects: EDGE Chris Whitehead, EDGE K.J. Green and QB Peyton Houston. Whitehead and Green were two of six blue-chip commits for LSU during June.
