USA Water Polo Names 10 Olympians to Roster for Women’s World Cup
USA Water Polo on Wednesday announced a 16-woman roster for the upcoming World Aquatics World Cup Division I Tournament.
The group includes 10 Olympians, including the return of Rachel Fattal to the fold. The three-time Olympian is the veteran in the squad for head coach Adam Krikorian, joined by two-time Olympian Amanda Longan in goal.
Other holdovers from the Paris squad include Jenna Flynn, Ryann Neushul, Tara Prentice, Jordan Raney, Jewel Roemer and Jovana Sekulic.
The squad does not include mainstays like Maggie Steffens, who recently welcomed her first child, or Maddie Musselman and Ashleigh Johnson.
The tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands, begins on May 1 and runs for six days. The U.S. opens with a match against Hungary before taking on Spain and Japan. Three knockout-round games follow.
Only 14 players are eligible to dress for each game.
