Michigan State basketball added a new center to its roster via the portal on Wednesday, so let’s get to know him a little better.
Charlotte transfer Anton Bonke committed to the Spartans on Wednesday afternoon, filling a massive hole at center for what should be a top 10 preseason team next season. Bonke, who is listed at 7-foot-2, was considered a four-star transfer portal target and among one of the top remaining portal prospects on the market.

Bonke started his career at Providence but transferred to Charlotte ahead of this past season where he had a breakout campaign. He started nearly every game for the 49ers, averaging 10.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 25.6 minutes per game. Michigan State had to beat out the likes of Kansas, Gonzaga, Cincinnati, NC State and Arkansas for his commitment.
