The Wisconsin Badgers men’s basketball program officially welcomed George Washington guard Trey Autry to the team on April 17.
In a post on social media, the team included a quote from longtime head coach Greg Gard after he secured his first transfer of the offseason.

“We are very excited to have Trey coming to Wisconsin,” Gard said. “He brings some size, physicality, and experience to our backcourt.”
Gard continued, “As a son of a coach, his basketball IQ is high and his ability to stretch defenses from 3 is a great asset to our offensive balance. We are looking forward to beginning preparation for next season when he gets to Madison this summer.”
For the Badgers fans who were looking to bring in a defensive transfer, look no further. Wisconsin’s backcourt now includes Autry, a three-year starter, along with Australian point guard Owen Foxwell.
Autry averaged a career high 11.0 points per game in 2025-26 as he started all 34 games for the Revolutionaries. He’s started 53 games the last two seasons and has averaged double-digits both years.
