Angel Reese is back in the lineup consistently for the Atlanta Dream. The former LSU women’s basketball star recovered from an injury and is now back atop two of the WNBA’s major statistical categories.
Reese leads the league with 11.9 rebounds per game and 22 double-doubles. While she was recovering from an injury, Reese fell behind Dallas Wings forward Jessica Shepard in both categories. Shepard is second with 11.4 boards per game and 20 double-doubles.

Amongst her teammates, Reese ranks third with 15.8 points per game. The Dream is one of the best defensive teams in the WNBA. At one point, they held the top three spots across the league in most steals per game. Reese currently ranks sixth with 1.6 per game while Rhyne Howard and Jordin Canada lead the league.
Reese dealt with a left knee injury in the first half of the season and played through it for the most part. It held her out of two games in July, but she appears to be back to full strength as the regular season winds down. She is in her first season with the Dream after being traded by the Chicago Sky, the team that drafted her in 2024.
