A bright start is turning into injury misery for the Chicago Sky, and they’ll have a depleted roster again for tonight’s matchup with the Dallas Wings.

Chicago enters this home opener with a 3-1 record, but Rickea Jackson’s ACL tear is a huge blow, and my Wings vs. Sky predictions expect Dallas to cash in on its talent advantage.

Wings vs Sky prediction
Wings vs Sky best bet: Wings -2.5 (-120)
The Dallas Wings have clear playoff potential this year, and they showed that upside in a 92-69 beatdown against the Mystics on Monday. That spells trouble here for the Chicago Sky.
Paige Bueckers & Co. covered the spread on the road in Indiana in their season opener, and the visitors have scored 86+ points in three of their four contests this year. It’s hard to see Chicago keeping up without Rickea Jackson, Azura Stevens, and Courtney Vandersloot.

Though the Sky have owned this matchup in recent years, they were 7-10 ATS as home underdogs last season.

COVERS INTEL:
The 3-point line could be a trump card for the Wings, who are shooting 36% from downtown this year — the third-best mark in the league. Meanwhile, only the Mystics are making fewer 3-pointers per game than the Sky.
Wings vs Sky same-game parlay
I’m buying into Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale as an elite 1-2 punch for the Wings this season, and this SGP banks on both of them to shine tonight in a battle that should suit the visitors’ offensive strengths on the perimeter.
Bueckers has nailed this assist prop in her last two outings, and three of her seven dimes against Washington on Monday went to Azzi Fudd, who’s settling into her rookie year in Dallas.

Ogunbowale is coming off a couple of quieter stat lines, but look for her to challenge Kamilla Cardoso in the paint. This O/U line feels too low, especially as Ogunbowale put on a 37-point clinic in one of the matchups with the Sky last season.
Wings vs Sky SGP (+300)
-
Paige Bueckers Over 5.5 assists
-
Arike Ogunbowale Over 16.5 points
Wings vs Sky first basket scorer: Arike Ogunbowale (+1000)
This is a nice price for Ogunbowale, who scored the first bucket in the Wings’ last game and can be the visitors’ ticket to a fast start.
Plus, I’m factoring in a bigger share of the shot volume tonight. Ogunbowale had 15 shots in each of Dallas’ first two contests but has taken 21 total shots in her past two outings.

She also led by example in the Wings’ season opener at a rowdy Gainbridge Fieldhouse. There should be a similar vibe at Wintrust Arena tonight, as Chicago heads home after four straight road games, and Ogunbowale’s experience will be key for the visitors.
