One of the Georgia Bulldogs‘ defensive cornerstones is heading to an AFC South team. The Indianapolis Colts are selecting Georgia linebacker C.J. Allen with the No. 53 pick in second round of the 2026 NFL draft.

Allen was the heart and soul of Georgia’s defense last season. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound linebacker racked up 88 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles last season. He made game-changing plays, such as the goal-line fumble against Auburn to turn the tide for Georgia.

Allen was a consensus All-American and a member of the first-team All-SEC for his 2025 season. Overall, throughout his three seasons in Georgia’s defensive rotation, he earned 205 total tackles, 4.5 sacks, and 10 passes defended.

Interestingly, Allen was compared to longtime Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin ahead of the draft. Allen brings speed, football intelligence and experience to Indianapolis.
