Minnesota routed the expansion Toronto Tempo on Thursday night, opening a 21-point halftime lead and cruising to a 100-72 decision. Maya Caldwell came off the bench to pace the Lynx with 16 points, with Courtney Williams adding 15 points and eight rebounds, and rookie Olivia Miles chipping in with 14 points and five assists. Minnesota never trailed in the game.
The Sky dropped their first game since losing new acquisition Rickea Jackson to a season-ending knee injury, falling to the visiting Dallas Wings 99-89 on Wednesday night. Kamilla Cardoso finished with 24 points and 11 rebounds and Natasha Cloud tossed in 21 points. Chicago got to within three with 2:32 left before Dallas canned two straight 3-pointers to boost the lead back to nine.
The Lynx are still waiting for Napheesa Collier to return from offseason ankle surgery, and she is still about two weeks away. Chicago, meanwhile, hopes to get back Azura Stevens (knee), DiJonai Carrington (foot), and Courtney Vandersloot (knee) soon.
This is a great WNBA matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
