Auburn football jumped into the top 25 of the 2027 recruiting rankings with the commitment of three-star cornerback Aidyn Wiggins on Tuesday afternoon, and will now get another boost as one of Alabama’s top 2027 products joins Wiggins by committing to Auburn.
Four-star Isaac McNeil announced his pledge to Auburn on Tuesday, choosing the Tigers over key SEC rivals Alabama, Georgia, and Florida on Rivals’ YouTube Channel.

McNeil holds a 247Sports composite score of 0.9488, which slides him into the No. 3 slot in Auburn’s 2027 haul behind offensive lineman Layton von Brandt and the Tigers’ top pledge, running back Myson Johnson-Cook. Auburn slid into the No. 23 spot in 247Sports’ 2027 rankings before McNeil’s commitment, and it is sure to climb even more now that the Tigers have the pledge of the nation’s No. 6 linebacker and the No. 2 overall player from Alabama.
McNeil becomes the fifth 2027 prospect to commit to Auburn following its successful round of weekend official visits. Since Sunday, Auburn has added four-star running back Kingston Miles, three-star cornerback Nash Johnson, three-star cornerback Aidyn Wiggins, three-star kicker Noah Ash, and now McNeil to its 2027 class. McNeil also becomes the sixth player to join Auburn’s 2027 haul since May 17.
