The Oregon Ducks are preparing for a big day on the recruiting trail on July 1, but another big announcement will come just a few days later.
Five-star wide receiver Xavier Sabb is set to make his college commitment on July 3. He will announce his decision live on the Rivals YouTube channel at 2 p.m. PT. Sabb will choose from a group of four finalists, including Oregon, Tennessee, LSU and UCLA.

The Ducks are heavy favorites for the Gatorade Player of the Year from New Jersey after an outstanding official visit to Eugene on June 19. Oregon has already pulled in five-star Dakota Guerrant, and adding Sabb to the mix would give the Ducks a freshman duo out wide for years to come.
Oregon could vault its 2027 recruiting class toward the top of the national rankings this week. Four-star athlete Tae Walden Jr. and five-star corner Hayden Stepp will both commit on July 1, and the Ducks are perceived favorites. If Oregon could wrangle in both defensive stars and Sabb, the Ducks would have 24 commits in the class.
Sabb is a can’t-miss recruit for the Ducks. As a junior at Glassboro High School in New Jersey, he made 59 catches for 896 yards and 13 touchdowns. Sabb’s incredible speed will fit right in with Oregon’s high-flying offense, alongside quarterback commit Will Mencl.

Despite both of his older brothers playing at Alabama, the Crimson Tide did not crack Sabb’s list of finalists. Tennessee has pushed hard for Sabb throughout his process, and both UCLA and LSU had strong official visits this spring.
Anything can happen at the last-minute in summer recruitments, but as of now, it would be surprising if Sabb is not a Duck on July 3.
