With spring football over in 2027, the recruiting cycle will begin to heat up. Colorado hosted plenty of visitors over the weekend, and the Buffs will play the waiting game for some commitments to trickle in.
A potential four-star quarterback could be joining the fold on Tuesday, and now Colorado is in the hunt for another four-star talent.

Deion Sanders and Co. extended an offer to Mississippi running back Christian Alexander. 247Sports ranks Alexander as the No. 307 overall prospect in the 2027 class, the No. 20 running back and the No. 10 recruit from Mississippi.
Alexander holds 13 offers, including high-profile programs like Mississippi State and Wisconsin. At 5-foot-8, Alexander is on the smaller side for a running back, but still put up huge numbers in 2024, accounting for 2,123 total yards and 23 total touchdowns as a sophomore.
Colorado’s 2027 recruiting class is currently just one commitment deep with cornerback Davon Dericho. Alexander would be a nice addition for the Buffs, especially with a few young and promising backs on the current roster.
