The Liberty are back to playing excellent basketball, having won four in a row and seven of their last eight. Currently in the No. 7 spot in the WNBA, they trail the Fever by just 0.5 games for the No. 4 seed. In their last game, the Liberty made a statement by crushing the shorthanded Las Vegas Aces 111-71. Marine Johannes led the Liberty in scoring off the bench, shooting 7-of-12 from the 3-point line en route to dropping 27 points.
Similar to the Liberty, the Fever are also playing well, winners in six of their last eight games. They continue to be at the center of controversy, whether it’s Caitlin Clark or Sophie Cunningham, with the former taking a big clothesline in her last game, leading to a scuffle and an ejection for the Chicago Sky‘s DiJonai Carrington. Indiana would ultimately win the game 90-86, with Kelsey Mitchell scoring 27 points and Clark adding 26 of her own with 11 assists.
