The Brooklyn Nets got an up-close look at a group of 2026 NBA Draft prospects on Thursday. With the draft days away, the Nets hosted Arkansas forward Trevon Brazile, Ohio State guard Bruce Thornton, Miami (OH) guard Peter Suder, Marquette guard Chase Ross, Illinois forward Ben Humrichous, and Vanderbilt forward AK Okereke for a group workout, per league sources.

While the Nets face a franchise-altering decision at No. 6, they also have choices to make at Nos. 33 and 43. Several of the prospects they brought in on Thursday could be options in the second round.
Brazile impressed alongside potential Nets draft target Darius Acuff Jr. at Arkansas this season.
The 23-year-old is a physical specimen, measuring 6-foot-9.5 barefoot with a 7-foot-4 wingspan and recording a 41.5-inch max vertical leap, the fifth-highest at this year’s combine. That athleticism led to impressive highlights as a defensive playmaker and offensive play finisher.
However, Brazile’s motor was inconsistent throughout his college career. His offense is also a question mark among NBA decision-makers.

The forward has some floor-spacing potential, shooting 35.3 percent from three on 6.0 attempts per 100 possessions over his last four seasons, and can attack closeouts off the bounce. However, he’s limited as an on-ball creator and struggles as a decision-maker, averaging 0.9 assists and 1.2 turnovers for his college career.
Still, Brazile has undeniable two-way potential due to his size and athletic tools. He’s No. 35 on ClutchPoints’ big board, while ESPN has him at No. 41 and The Athletic has him at No. 46.
Thornton has risen in many projections following a standout season at Ohio State. While the 22-year-old is undersized, measuring 6-foot-0 barefoot with a 6-foot-5 wingspan, he was one of the nation’s most efficient scorers this season.

Thornton averaged 19.9 points on .554/.400/.829 shooting splits and was steady as a decision-maker, averaging 3.9 assists and 1.3 turnovers (3.02 ast/to). Despite his short stature, his 215-pound frame allowed him to average 5.1 rebounds per game.
Thornton is the No. 48 on ClutchPoints’ big board. Meanwhile, The Athletic has him at No. 37, and ESPN at No. 49.
Beyond Thornton and Brazile, Suder and Ross are the next-highest-ranked prospects among the group.
Suder was a top contributor for a Miami Ohio team that went 32-2 this season. The 6-foot-5 senior guard averaged 14.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists on .546/.421/.734 shooting splits. Ross, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, led the Big East in steals at 2.3 per game while averaging 14.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists on .421/.295/.723 shooting splits.
