We are counting down the 15 biggest highlights from Kentucky Wildcats sports in the 2025-26 year. We have entered the top five, and No. 5 comes to us from the basketball court, and a player who came up clutch so many times, he earned the nickname Captain Clutch.
Collin Chandler had a number of big moments throughout the season, but none was bigger than what he did against the Tennessee Volunteers in the Wildcats second meeting with them. He would bring Big Blue Nation to their feet, and put away the Kentucky rival.

As with multiple games last season, the Wildcats fell behind early on, and trailed by 14 points at halftime. However, they slowly chipped away in the second half, and would take a lead with just under ten minutes to go. As the game entered the final minute, the Vols took a lead, but it was Captain Clutch’s time to shine. He calmly came down the court, lined up a shot, and nailed a go-ahead three-pointer that would put Kentucky ahead for good.
The win gave the Cats the season sweep against Tennessee, and was one of the highlights of a disappointing season. It was a huge moment against one of Kentucky’s biggest rivals, and cemented him as Captain Clutch.
