Why isn’t Indiana Fever superstar guard Caitlin Clark playing on Saturday night at home against the Los Angeles Sparks?
Well, Clark left Wednesday night’s game with a back injury, something she’s been dealing with all season long. She missed a game with her back in May, and now, she’s missing her second game of the season.

Fever coach Stephanie White didn’t provide a timetable for Clark’s return, so it’s possible she could miss some time as her back heals. However, the Fever are off for about a week after Saturday’s game.
It’s also possible Clark returns to the court after the WNBA’s Commissioner’s Cup hiatus for the team’s July 5 game against the Las Vegas Aces. If she misses that game, it might be a sign Clark will be sidelined for a bit.
While there aren’t indications that this is a season-ending injury, flashbacks to 2025 will rightly have fans nervous that Clark won’t see the court again for a while. However, we just don’t know yet when she will be back to playing.
Who is in the Commissioner’s Cup final?
The Aces and the New York Liberty.
