The Indiana Fever will try to break a two-game losing streak as they host the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night.

Indiana hasn’t played any defense this season, and that’s going to be a major problem against an Atlanta team that I’m picking to win outright in my Dream vs. Fever predictions.

Let’s take a deeper look at tonight’s game as I reveal my free WNBA picks for Thursday, June 4.

Dream vs Fever prediction

Dream vs Fever best bet:  Dream moneyline (+100)

The Indiana Fever are coming off two straight losses, with clear issues on the defensive end. Indiana is allowing opponents to shoot 47% from the field, giving up 43.5 points per game in the paint – the third-highest total in the WNBA this year.

The Atlanta Dream pick up 48.1% of their points in the paint, with Allisha Gray (21.1 ppg), Rhyne Howard (19.3 ppg), and Angel Reese (13.0 ppg) all getting buckets and drawing fouls. I see the Dream finding plenty of success inside against Indiana tonight, and I like them to win outright to -110.

COVERS INTEL:

The Fever have a league-worst foul rate of 26.3%, and opponents have been punishing them from the line by shooting 81.1% on free throws against Indiana.

Dream vs Fever same-game parlay

For all the issues I’ve identified for the Fever defensively, there’s no doubt this team can score. They play fast – they have the highest pace metrics of any team in the WNBA – and are fourth in the league in true shooting percentage at 57.3%.

Indiana has hit the Over in three straight games and plays to an average total of 180.8. I love this Over tonight.

With that many points on the board, adding a scoring prop makes a lot of sense. My pick is Rhynne Howard, who is coming off a massive 36-point performance against the Connecticut Sun.

Howard is virtually always on the court – averaging 35.9 minutes per game – and will get heavy usage in a game that has lots of possessions.

Dream vs Fever SGP

  • Rhyne Howard Over 17.5 points

Caitlin Clark pick: Over 33.5 points + rebounds + assists (-110)

Caitlin Clark is coming off her worst game of the season, as she went 1-for-7 from the field and scored just six points against the Portland Fire on Saturday. But during the Indiana Fever’s last three-game homestand, Clark averaged 39 PRA per contest.

Indiana leads the WNBA with 91.8 ppg this season and will be well-rested after four full days off. I expect a healthy and fresh Clark to play 30+ minutes, and with that much time on the court, she’ll put up numbers to get over her PRA total even if the Fever struggles to win tonight.
