The Syracuse men’s basketball program has undergone multiple changes over the last few months. First, Adrian Autry was fired in March and Gerry McNamara was hired as the program’s third coach in the last 50 seasons.
Furthermore, multiple players have left the program via graduation and the transfer portal while several others joined the program.

But one thing that will be consistent in the upcoming season? A regular season matchup with in-state foe, Colgate. The two schools will renew their rivalry after a year off in 2024-25.
Syracuse officially announced they will play against Colgate on Dec. 8 at the JMA Wireless Dome. This will be the 177th time the schools have played against one another.
The rivalry between Syracuse and Colgate dates back 1908. While Syracuse has won the most two most recent matchups, it lost to Colgate during the 2022-23 regular season. Syracuse has a 129-47 advantage in the all-time series with the Raiders.
