The likely playoff-bound Dallas Wings suffered a major loss to their starting lineup on Wednesday.
Rookie guard Azzi Fudd has been ruled out for the rest of the season “to undergo an arthroscopic procedure to address ongoing right knee soreness,” per ESPN’s Alexa Philippou.

Fudd averaged 13.1 points and 1.8 assists through her rookie campaign, one that will end frustratingly close to September’s WNBA playoffs. Dallas, 20-16, should earn one of the eight WNBA playoff seeds.
Guard Odyssey Sims will likely start the rest of the way for Dallas with the former UConn star out of the lineup until 2027.
What a huge bummer for Dallas and Fudd.
Where is Dallas in the standings?
The team is eighth right now in the league standings.
