It’s never too early to look ahead to the 2026-27 college basketball season.
Coming off another disappointing run in the NCAA Tournament, the Wisconsin Badgers are looking to regroup once again.
Longtime head coach Greg Gard knows he won’t have star guards John Blackwell or Nick Boyd, but he’s done a terrific job replacing those players with either big gets in the transfer portal or international talent.

Recently, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein compiled his Big Ten preseason power rankings.
Out of the 18 teams in the conference, Wisconsin came in at No. 10. This should come as no surprise due to them losing so much star power, but it’s important to remember Gard and his staff seemingly always find a way to have their roster exceed expectations.
