Certain programs have basketball cachet that others just don’t. Indiana and North Carolina are two of the most storied basketball schools in college sports history, and fans will have a unique opportunity to watch them on the same floor this fall in an exhibition showdown.
The game will take place on October 18 in Indiana at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

USA TODAY’s Indianapolis Star notes that the iconic schools last faced one another in 2022, which resulted in a 77-65 win for the Hoosiers at Assembly Hall.
The Hoosiers and Tar Heels have met a total of 16 times, with Indiana holding the 10-6 all-time head-to-head advantage.
It’ll be one of the first times that fans get to see new North Carolina head coach Michael Malone, who will go up against second-year Indiana coach Darian DeVries.
